ttgexpo.it | inoutexpo.it

Rimini (Italy), 28 August 2025 More than 13 million Italians already regularly use artificial intelligence - equivalent to 28% of the country’s Internet users, according to Comscore's Digital Analytics MyMetrix data. This growing trend is prompting hotels and accommodation providers to adapt by implementing robots and virtual assistants capable of speaking multiple languages, managing requests 24/7, and interacting with AI directly in hotel rooms. These innovations will take centre stage at InOut | The Hospitality Community, Italy's leading event for the hospitality industry, which will take place concurrently with TTG Travel Experience from October 8 to 10 at Rimini Expo Centre, both curated by Italian Exhibition Group. The dual event will be a key opportunity to explore the latest applications of artificial intelligence tailored for tour operators.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2025 EDITION

The numbers are growing steadily across the tourism industry—and hotels are certainly no exception. According to Hospitality Net, of the 1,500 hotels surveyed in Europe (including Italy), 41% already use artificial intelligence, while 16% plan to introduce it soon. The main applications include content generation (74%), review analysis (44%), dynamic pricing (42%), and guest personalisation (38%), with robotics steadily on the rise (10%). This demonstrates the need for constant updates, the discovery of new solutions, and the chance to experience firsthand how hotels, campsites, and even beach facilities will evolve in the near future.

Once again, InOut will prove to be the go-to event for those who design and renew hospitality spaces. Independent hotels, hotel chains, architects, designers, general contractors, campsites, beach resorts, and construction companies will all find advanced solutions for an industry increasingly focused on well-being, technology, functionality, and sustainability. The 2025 edition will revolve around three themes: in addition to technology, new developments will also focus on well-being, with a holistic approach that integrates wellness, physical and mental regeneration, sport, and food as essential elements of a truly restorative holiday. Within Poolwide, the area dedicated to wellness, visitors will discover all the latest in pools, whirlpools, multifunctional showers, saunas, Turkish baths, spa solutions, equipment, coverings, accessories, furnishings, and maintenance systems. Last but not least, the sport & fitness area, an increasingly important part of today’s travel experience: at InOut, the spotlight will be on professional indoor and outdoor equipment, as well as recreational solutions ranging from multi-purpose courts to open-air entertainment areas. «Well-being is no longer confined to just spa areas; it has become a widespread experience that permeates every aspect of hospitality, from outdoor spaces to connected rooms, supported by technologies that make guests’ lives easier», underlines Gloria Armiri, Group Exhibition Manager of TTG Travel Experience and InOut | The Hospitality Community. «At InOut, we showcase how sport, wellness, and entertainment can become tangible assets for hospitality businesses, meeting a demand increasingly focused on quality and personalised experiences». The exhibition will be rounded out by a conference programme analysing the impact of artificial intelligence on the hospitality industry, alongside the growing importance of wellness areas, with contributions from leading national and international experts.

THE ADI AWARD AND VISION LABS

For the second year running, InOut will host the ADI InOut Hospitality Design Award, organised in collaboration with ADI (Association for Industrial Design) to recognise the most innovative hospitality solutions. Open exclusively to exhibitors, the award honours products either marketed by an Italian company or designed by an Italian professional or team. Winners will qualify for ADI Design Index 2026, the official pre-selection for the prestigious ‘Compasso d’Oro’, considered the “Nobel Prize” of design.

Finally, InOut will once again dedicate a large space to outdoor living and the evolution of exterior environments in contemporary hospitality, welcoming back Vision Labs for their third edition. This special showcase will present four themed installations inspired by the city, sea, mountains, and countryside, offering visitors a visionary preview of the future of outdoor hospitality design.

TTG OBSERVATORY: LUXURY AND FOREIGN VISITORS ARE DRIVING SUMMER TOURISM

  • With 26% of preferences, Italy comes second among the most desired luxury destinations, surpassing France and trailing Spain, which leads the ranking with 30%.
  • Hoteliers report positive results for incoming US tourism: «In the spring period, growth compared to 2024 exceeded double digits." And apropos last-minute bookings: "It has now become a structural trend».
  • The trends for the summer season: experience takes precedence over destination, along with multigenerational travel and nature-based activities.
  • Tourism and hospitality will take centre stage at TTG Travel Experience and InOut | The Hospitality Community, the industry’s global B2B event, to be held at Rimini Expo Centre from October 8 to 10.

ttgexpo.it | inoutexpo.it

Rimini (Italy) 16 June  2025 - The Italian summer will be driven by luxury tourism and an increase in international visitors, with a significant contribution from the United States. Last-minute bookings remain a stable trend, while experiences, nature, and multigenerational travel are driving new travel preferences. This is the snapshot from TTG Monitor, the TTG Travel Experience Observatory – the international tourism marketplace of Italian Exhibition Group, scheduled to take place from October 8 to 10 at Rimini Expo Centre.

THE DATA: ITALY REMAINS A COMPETITIVE DESTINATION

According to TTG Monitor, Italy continues to be seen as a competitive destination, particularly abroad. This is confirmed by 70% of foreign buyers surveyed (compared to 30% of Italians) who identify a better quality/price ratio in high-end fashion shopping (76%) and typical local products (74%) as strengths. In terms of transportation, the railway system (63%) receives the highest approval. But there's more: 37% of foreign buyers surveyed said they would be willing to spend more than in the past. This trend was already observed in 2024, according to the ISTAT Travel Innovation Observatory, when growth in foreign tourism (251 million visits, +7.4%) offset the decline in domestic tourism (-2.9% for 196 million visits). According to a ranking by Condé Nast Johansens, luxury destinations are primarily driving the industry. In 2025, Italy made a significant leap forward: the report shows that our country surpassed France, ranking second among the most sought-after luxury destinations with 26% of preferences, trailing only Spain (30%) and leaving Portugal and the USA (16%) behind. According to hotel chains, the United States was the main concern ahead of the summer tourist season. However, at TTG Italia, major groups like Omnia Hotels, HNH, Delphina Hotels, and FH55 Hotels have reiterated: «The market is holding up well, and for now, we are not affected by Trump's policies. In fact, in some cases, the incoming US in the spring period has already seen double-digit growth in volumes compared to 2024».

Finally, analysing the summer tourism prospects more broadly, it is true that the luxury segment includes individuals with an average declared income of €85,000 and a holiday budget of over €8,000. This year, according to the Jetcost report, the average budget of Italians will be €1,145, with 77% planning to stay in Italy. The top 3 most popular destinations are Lampedusa, Rome, and Jesolo. However, the last-minute trend continues to grow, described by hoteliers interviewed by TTG Italia as a «structural trend». That's why we don't have specific discount policies, but it's equally true that, well aware of this phenomenon, we offer the option to cancel without penalties, even on the day of arrival.

THE TRENDS OF NEW TRAVELERS

Among the buyers interviewed in TTG Monitor, several increasingly popular trends have emerged. The value of the experience is more important than the choice of destination, as confirmed by 72% of Italian buyers. Additionally, for 69% of foreigners, holidays are becoming an opportunity to reconnect with nature, and 72% report an increase in multigenerational trips where grandparents, parents, and children come together. These themes will be explored in the next edition of TTG, starting with luxury, thanks to the Luxury Event by TTG scheduled at the Grand Hotel in Rimini on October 7 – the day before the show begins. This event, which in 2024 recorded over 1,400 business meetings, promises to be a highlight of the upcoming edition.

In parallel with TTG, InOut | The Hospitality Community, an essential event for those who design, furnish, and renovate tourist accommodation spaces. Here, hotels, hotel chains, architects, designers, general contractors, campsites, beach resorts, and construction companies can find the most cutting-edge solutions. For the 2025 edition, there will be three focus areas: well-being, which integrates wellness, physical and mental regeneration, sports, and food; sports and fitness, increasingly central to the modern tourist experience; and technology, the key to smart hospitality designed to simplify life for both guests and managers.

ttgexpo.it | inoutexpo.it

Rimini (Italy) 12 May 2025 — A new era dawns on the horizon of tourism and hospitality. From October 8 to 10, 2025, TTG Travel Experience and InOut | The Hospitality Community, curated by Italian Exhibition Group, will once again take centre stage at Rimini Expo Centre. This event brings together the entire tourism and hospitality ecosystem in a single, large platform, fostering relationship building, idea generation, and defining the new coordinates of contemporary hospitality.

The central theme of the 62nd edition of the event, “Awake To a New Era”, is more than just a slogan: it's a pressing call to recognise the profound changes that are reshaping global tourism. The post-pandemic world, digital acceleration, and the new demands of travellers who are increasingly seeking authentic, regenerating, and sustainable experiences all require a new mindset.

In this context, TTG Travel Experience and InOut | The Hospitality Community assert themselves as the meeting point for the entire organised tourism industry, where national and international buyers engage in dialogue with tour operators, tourism organisations, destinations, and accommodation facilities. This year's innovations include My Agenda by TTG, an advanced demand-supply matching platform that empowers national and international buyers to connect with Italian and foreign sellers. Additionally, TTG Next Start Up, a district dedicated to young companies, is growing rapidly, revolutionising the industry with technological solutions, sustainable mobility, digital experiences, and innovative service models. To enhance the offer, the event has expanded the areas dedicated to thermal and nautical tourism, as these sectors are experiencing significant growth.

InOut | The Hospitality Community, in perfect synergy with TTG Travel Experience, remains the go-to event for those who design, furnish, and renovate hospitality spaces. Hotels, hotel chains, architects, designers, general contractors, campsites, beach resorts, and construction companies will discover the most advanced solutions for a hospitality experience that prioritises well-being, functionality, and sustainability. The 2025 edition will focus on three main areas: well-being, with two halls dedicated to a holistic approach that integrates wellness, physical and mental regeneration, sports, and food as essential elements of a wellness-focused vacation; sports & fitness, increasingly

present in the modern tourist experience; and technology, the star of smart hospitality designed to  simplify life for both guests and managers: one-click check-in and check-out, voice controls in the room, smart home automation, and artificial intelligence for enhanced experience and efficiency.

“The paradigms of the past are no longer sufficient to comprehend the complexity of the present: tourism must evolve. 'Awake To a New Era' symbolises this collective awakening, a new awareness that involves the entire industry, calling for a redefinition of approaches and dynamics in a world that's constantly evolving”, remarks Gloria Armiri, Group Exhibition Manager at TTG Travel Experience and InOut, as she shares her insights on The Hospitality Community.

In this context, the 2025 innovations, from exhibition content to logistics, are integrated. The direct Rome-Rimini air connection, organised by IEG and operated by Luxwing from October 7 to 10, simplifies access to the expo centre for buyers and professionals in the industry, optimising time and business opportunities. This strategic choice supports the growth of foreign presences, which increased by 15% in the last edition, a figure that demonstrates the growing international appeal of TTG and InOut. A new travel option, joining the existing ones, including train travel. The Riminifiera Railway Station, located within the Rimini Expo Centre, is situated on the Milan-Bari line, just 50 metres from the South Entrance and is active during the event days.

Rimini, 11 October 2024 – A record number of qualified attendees (+ 9% total and + 15% foreign attendance, compared to 2023) for the 61st edition of TTG Travel Experience and the second Inout | The Contract Community, organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) which concluded successfully today at Rimini Expo Centre. A surge in numbers that confirms the excitement of the tourism industry, which placed the fair at the centre of attention of institutions, international buyers, industry companies, and the media. The most important b2b event at a national level for the tourism industry brought 2,700 exhibiting brands, 1,000 buyers from all over the world, 55 start-ups, and 683 Italian and foreign journalists to Rimini. There was also a record number of 18,000 business meetings over the three days.

TURISMO, A NEW NEED FOR TRUTH IS BORN

VERITAS, the main theme of TTG, unfolded over the 200 events with 250 speakers in the 9 arenas, declining the concept in all its different facets through talks and debates. The search for truth for tourism has focused on the need to rely on truthful stories about the destinations, real trend data and scientifically verifiable market analyses in a time in which storytelling is artificially created, fake news is rampant, and reviews are often misleading.

TTG TRAVEL EXPERIENCE, A THOUSAND BUYERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD AND 66 FOREIGN DESTINATIONS. ITALY IMPACTS WITH ALL ITS 20 REGIONS

Villages, art cities, food and wine, not to mention the growth of cycling tourism, have made Italy the most popular destination, and are just a part of the offer that attracted the thousand foreign buyers present at the fair from 62 countries (55% from Europe and 45% from the rest of the world), led by North America (18%), followed by the UK (15%) and Germany (10%). TTG is making its mark as an increasingly international fair, welcoming 66 foreign destinations, from Europe to Asia, from the Middle East to Africa, and the Americas. TTG also brought all 20 Italian regions to Rimini, making the fair a convergence of excellence for incoming tourism.

A BOOM IN LUXURY TOURISM IN ITALY

Italy is also leader in the European luxury hotel market, with an annual turnover of 30.5 billion euros and a market share of 21%. In our country, 45% of hotel investments are focused on the luxury segment and concentrated on top cities (Rome, Milan, Venice and Florence), as well as on seaside and mountain areas (Source: Deloitte). TTG has intercepted this trend by creating a specific event: the Luxury Event by TTG. A format with the active engagement of buyers involved in 1,400 appointments, confirming the expertise of the Italian luxury players, focused on the needs of the new high-end tourist in search of extraordinary experiences.

TTG NEXT START-UP

TTG 2024 has created an authentic Tourism Innovation District with 55 start-ups all set to revolutionise the industry in the areas of Technology, Mobility, Hospitality, Experience and Tour Operating. The programme included 20 conferences and round tables, as well as the Startup Pitching Session, which awarded the best emerging startups in Tourism.

SANTANCHÈ: “TOURISM IS A FUNDAMENTAL PILLAR FOR THE ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL GROWTH OF OUR NATION”

The trade associations representing the various sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry, as well as the academic world with universities and cultural institutions, were all in attendance at TTG and InOut. At the inauguration, the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè underlined the essential role of tourism as a fundamental pillar for the growth of the nation and that of TTG as a reference event in Italy for the worldwide promotion of the industry. Also present were Maurizio Ermeti, president of IEG, Jamil Sadegholvaad, mayor of Rimini, Andrea Corsini, councillor for Tourism of Emilia-Romagna, Pier Ezhaya, president of ASTOI-Confindustria Viaggi, Franco Gattinoni, president of FTO-Federazione Turismo Organizzato, Flavio Ghiringhelli, president of IBAR-Italian Board Airline Representatives, Bernabò Bocca, president of Federalberghi, Federico Pedini Amati, Secretary of State for Tourism of the Republic of San Marino and Gian Marco Centinaio, vice president of the Senate of the Republic.

INOUT: THE SECOND EDITION OF THE FORMAT DEDICATED TO THE CONTRACT MARKET

A successful second year for Inout | The Contract Community, the format dedicated to indoor and outdoor furnishings for hotel and non-hotel hospitality. New trends, cutting-edge technologies and new solutions for the industry were unveiled, from hotel room design to greenery planning, from the choice of materials and surfaces to the design of beach resorts.

Till next time… Italian Exhibition Group looks forward to seeing all the players of the Italian and international tourism industry at the next edition in Rimini Expo Centre from 8-10 October 2025.
