Alessandro Rocca

Journalist, director, photographer, and freelance author. Among his works are the documentary films "North of Lampedusa", "African dreamers", "The Consul's List", "Cesare Lombroso, the Dark Side", "The Eight of Martinetto", "April '45 - Turin Rises", the TV series "Japanese Diary" in collaboration with CBC Japan TV, Icaro Group for TV2000 and RSI, and "Green Explorer". He has been collaborating for years with "Geo" on RaiTre and is a filmmaker and co-author of the program "Roots". His works have been broadcast on RAI channels, SkyTg24, RaiNews24, La7, SkyArteHD, Explora, DeA Sapere, Rai Storia, Rai Italia, RSI-LA1, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, TV2000, Tim Vision, Chili, Explorer HD Channel. He has collaborated on reports and documentaries for the programs "The Planet of Wonders", "Kilimangiaro", "Timbuktu" on RaiTre, Effetto reale (La7), Matatu (RaiNews24), Agenda del mondo (Rai 3), SkyTg24, TG RSI (Swiss Italian TV). He is part of ResQ - People saving people - Onlus. He is a member of the jury for the Roberto Morrione Award for investigative journalism. He is part of the Articolo 21 Piemonte circle for press freedom. From 2003 to 2015, he was part of the "Ilaria Alpi" Association. He is the author of the book "Resq - Story of a ship and the women and men who made it" for People publisher, and of several other publications.
