Alessio founded and managed companies in the sports and hospitality sectors before embarking on an academic career. He has taught strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence applied to business at Bocconi University and WU Vienna. His research investigates how firms recombine knowledge to innovate, with a focus on how digital technologies shape creativity at both individual and organisational levels. Since joining Glion, he has been teaching strategy, innovation and quantitative research methods, contributing to the institution's academic and applied research programme. He holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and HSG Sankt Gallen.
