Bruno Biserni

Bruno Biserni has been President of GAL L'Altra Romagna since 2011, a role in which he promotes community-led local development strategies for the rural areas of the Romagna Apennines, fostering collaboration between institutions, businesses, associations and local communities. A graduate in Economics and Commerce from the University of Bologna, he is registered in the Register of Statutory Auditors and boasts extensive experience as a consultant in business management and direction, gained by supporting companies, public bodies and organisations in processes of innovation, organisational development and strategic planning. Throughout his career he has held numerous institutional and associative positions. He has also served on the boards of directors of bodies, foundations and companies, contributing to the definition of policies and initiatives for the economic and social development of the territories. Under his presidency, GAL L'Altra Romagna has consolidated its role as a driver of development for rural areas, strengthening the capacity to network between public and private stakeholders and promoting numerous inter-territorial and European cooperation projects. In addition to his commitment to GAL L'Altra Romagna, he serves as Regional Coordinator of the GALs of Emilia-Romagna, facilitating dialogue and coordination of local development strategies at regional level. Since 2026 he has also been Vice President of the National Association of GALs of Italy, contributing to the strengthening of the representation of Local Action Groups in relations with national and European institutions and to the promotion of development policies for Italian rural areas. His professional career is characterised by the ability to combine economic and managerial expertise with a deep knowledge of the territories and the dynamics of local development. His vision is oriented towards sustainability, innovation, cooperation and the enhancement of inner areas.
