Christian Forcellini

Christian Forcellini (San Marino, 10 November 1969) is the President of the San Marino National Olympic Committee (CONS), a position he has held since 13 March 2025 for the 2025-2028 Olympic quadrennial. His election represents the natural culmination of a journey built over more than twenty years of commitment to San Marino sport, first as an athlete and subsequently as a sports official. His competitive career began in tennis, a discipline in which he represented the Republic of San Marino at the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games and in the Davis Cup in the 1993 and 1994 editions. He later dedicated himself to athletics, distinguishing himself as a sprinter and competing in the European Indoor Championships and the World Championships. He also took part in six editions of the Games of the Small States of Europe, winning the bronze medal in the 4×100 metres relay in 1999. During his sporting career he also established himself in golf, a discipline in which he obtained the title of San Marino champion. Having concluded his competitive activity, Forcellini dedicated his expertise to the development of national sport. From 2001 to 2024 he led the San Marino Tennis Federation, contributing to the growth of the tennis movement and to the enhancement of the prestigious international tournament San Marino Open. In parallel, he held roles of increasing responsibility within the San Marino National Olympic Committee, joining the Executive Committee between 2013 and 2016 and subsequently assuming the position of Vice President from 2017 to 2024. His organisational experience was further consolidated through the role of Chef de Mission of the San Marino Olympic delegations at the London 2012 and Paris 2024 Games, and previously at the 2009 Mediterranean Games in Pescara, accompanying the blue-and-white athletes in the most important international competitions.
