Domenico Pellegrino

Since October 2016, Domenico Pellegrino has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Bluvacanze Group, the largest Italian network of travel agencies under the Bluvacanze and Vivere&Viaggiare brands, 100% owned by MSC Cruises. The Bluvacanze Group also includes Blunet, a tourism distribution hub for affiliated agencies, and CTI - Cisalpina Tours International, a travel management company (TMC) and European leader in business travel, event organisation and live communication, as well as Going, a historic Italian Tour Operator, active in both outgoing and incoming tourism with Going2Italy. The appointment as CEO of the Bluvacanze Group is in addition to his role as Managing Director of the Business Travel and Mice (meeting, exhibition & congress) business units at CTI, a position he has held since 2015. The latter has launched an internationalisation programme that today sees it present in New York, Turkey and Brazil, Cyprus, Madrid, Paris, Hamburg and Geneva since 2023. The expansion plan includes the Far and Middle East in the medium term. Domenico Pellegrino's career in the organised tourism sector began thirty years ago: he joined Bluvacanze after a long experience at MSC Crociere, where he took on increasing responsibilities until becoming Commercial Director Italy in 2000 and subsequently served as General Manager until 2014. His CV also includes experience as General Manager at Valtur. Since March 2018, he has been President of AIDIT, the Italian Association of Tourism Distribution, representing companies operating in the travel agency sector, affiliated with Federturismo Confindustria. He sits on the Board of Directors of Federturismo Confindustria. A graduate in Political Science, he holds a Master's degree in Tourism Economics from the SSCTS in Milan. He subsequently obtained a specialisation in Web Marketing for Tourism at LUISS in Rome. Domenico Pellegrino is 55 years old, married and the father of three children.
