Dominga Cotarella

Biography

She has been the National President of Terranostra, an Italian agritourism association promoted by Coldiretti, since November 28, 2023. On June 9 of the same year, she was elected President of Coldiretti Terni, and since December 2023, she has also been a member of Coldiretti's National Board. As President of Terranostra and an entrepreneur in the agri-food sector, on July 18, 2024, she was appointed member of the Board of Directors of the Foro Italico University of Rome, the fourth state university in the capital. After graduating in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from the University of Tuscia and gaining various experiences in Italy and abroad, she definitively joined the family business in 2016, along with her sisters Marta and Enrica. CEO and Commercial Director of Famiglia Cotarella, a leading company in the wine sector with locations in Umbria, Lazio, and Tuscany, Dominga established, in 2017 - again together with her sisters Marta and Enrica - the Intrecci High Training Academy for Dining Room Service to train future managers, maîtres, and dining room staff for the high-quality restaurant sector. The Academy is located in the village of Castiglione in Teverina, in the province of Viterbo. In 2019, in Montecchio, near Orvieto, she created Fattoria Tellus, an inclusive educational farm, with particular attention to children, disabled individuals, and their families. Finally, in 2021, she established the Cotarella Foundation and assumed its presidency. In December 2022, she was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic by President Sergio Mattarella. In July 2023, Forbes Italia magazine included her among the 100 successful women in Italy.
