Emanuela Ferrante

Emanuela Ferrante, Councillor for Sport and Equal Opportunities at the Municipality of Naples, is a lawyer, public administration executive, and graduated with honours in Law from Federico II University. Since 2021, she has led the sports and equal opportunities policies of the Manfredi Administration, promoting a vision of sport as a tool for inclusion, personal growth and social cohesion. During her term of office, she has placed at the centre the enhancement of the city's sporting heritage, launching a wide programme of recovery and modernisation of sports facilities and strengthening the role of sport as an educational, social and cultural asset. Among the most significant results is the relaunch of the Piscina Felice Scandone, which has become a Permanent High-Level Federal Centre thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality of Naples and the Italian Swimming Federation. Her administrative action has contributed decisively to the recognition of Naples as European Capital of Sport 2026, a milestone achieved through a project that integrates sport, inclusion, urban regeneration, innovation and territorial enhancement. In parallel, the Municipality has promoted investments of over 35 million euros destined for the redevelopment of strategic and neighbourhood facilities, leaving the city a lasting infrastructural legacy. Today she is engaged in the implementation of the Naples European Capital of Sport 2026 programme, supporting a model of accessible and widespread sport capable of generating opportunities, international attractiveness, sustainable development and well-being for communities, strengthening the bond between quality of life, participation and the city's growth.
