Federico Ceschin

Biography

He has been involved in education, training, and sustainability culture from the times of Agenda 21 to the SDGs of Agenda 2030. He is a local development agent specialized in tourism design and the enhancement of cultural and environmental heritage. He has taught local development and sustainable tourism in university programs (University of Bologna, IULM of Milan, University of Salento, University of Foggia) and master's courses (University of Rome Tor Vergata and Creative Tourism Academy in Rome and Milan). Currently a speaker at Chapman University in Los Angeles, he teaches at ITS Academies in various Italian regions. He has coordinated tourism excellence projects for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He has been a project manager in various regions, managing projects with complex partnerships and significant budgets. He has developed research, studies, and dossiers for major national entities, including Galgano e Associati, Italian Geographic Society, Civita, Unioncamere, Retecamere, Federculture, and the Italian Episcopal Conference, also collaborating on the Italian Tourism Report CNR-IRISS. After 30 years of commitment to combating overtourism phenomena, in 2021 he was appointed "European Climate Pact Ambassador" to contribute to the European Commission's policies towards climate neutrality by 2050. He is the destination manager of the DMO "Around Rome," recognized by the Lazio Region.
