Gavino Maresu

He taught "Management of Tourism Businesses and Events" at the University of Genoa, as well as "Tourism Marketing and Management" in Courses and Master's programs at Megatrend University in Belgrade, School of Advanced Interpreters and Translators in Milan, CEIDA/School of Advanced Public Administration and Local Authorities in Rome, "School of Advanced Studies in Cultural Tourism Economics" in Syracuse, etc. On these same topics, he has about 50 publications with Hoepli, FrancoAngeli, Class, in various editions of the CNR's "Italian Tourism Report", in the "Eurispes Italy Report 2006", etc. He has provided consultancy for public and private entities including I.C.E., Sviluppo Italia, Puglia Region, Province of Mantua, ISNART Unioncamere, etc. He was a member of the Ministerial Commission "Institutes and Territory" of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage in 2006/2007. He was director of the Tourism Department at Eurispes until 2009. He was an executive of important Tour Operators until the 1990s. He is a freelance journalist and has published hundreds of articles on tourism in various national and industry publications.
