Mara Manente

Mara Manente, Councillor of the Touring Club Italiano, member of the Steering Committee of the Master's Degree Course in Tourism and Sustainability Management at the University of Cagliari and former Director of CISET, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, carries out research on topics related to economics and planning in tourism and has a number of publications in international and national journals and texts to her credit. A collaborator of the World Tourism Organization within the Committee on Statistics and Macroeconomic Analysis of Tourism and the Working Group on Measuring Sustainable Tourism, as well as of the European Commission, she has contributed to the development of the methodology for the construction of Tourism Satellite Accounts and to the elaboration of the ETIS (European Tourism Indicators System) indicator system. She is also a member of the International Association of Scientific Experts in Tourism (AIEST) and of the Tourist Research Centre (TRC). In 2017 she was appointed National Pivot of the Economy Platform within the BLUEMED Programme and is still a member of Action Group 2 within EUSALP – EU Strategy for the Alpine Region.
