Maurizio Battelli

Maurizio Battelli is an entrepreneur, digital strategist and point of reference for innovation in hospitality, based in Sardinia. With over thirty years of experience in tourism, digital marketing and customer experience, he is the founder and President of Associazione EXTRA, one of the leading Italian communities of non-hotel accommodation operators, representing over 45,000 professionals throughout Sardinia. In 2017 he launched EXTRA il Salone Nazionale del Turismo Extra-Alberghiero, now in its sixth edition. He is also the founder of Sardinia Co-Hosting Srl, a property management company specialising in short-term rentals of luxury villas, and the creator of LUXRE, a project that positions luxury and ultra-luxury villa hospitality as a sustainable and investment-oriented alternative to traditional five-star hotels in the Mediterranean area. Having graduated in Economics from the University of Cagliari and holding an MBA from the Istituto Tagliacarne in Rome, he teaches digital marketing and business strategy at university and post-graduate level, and is the author of the editorial series dedicated to ultra-luxury villas, including The Luxury Villa Code.
