After graduating in Political Science, she continued her education by earning a PhD in History and Sociology of Modernity. During the same period, she collaborated with the Centro Romantico of the Gabinetto Vieusseux in Florence on the reorganization of the Oriental Library and the Fosco Maraini Photo Archive. She has published several contributions on the history of travel and exploration, as well as the history of mountaineering, in various academic journals. Her monograph Vertical Colonialism. K2 1954: a mountaineering feat that tells the story of our country, published by Priuli & Verlucca, is scheduled for release in 2025. Since 2021, she has been working at the Domus Mazziniana in Pisa.
