Paola De Filippo

With over twenty years of experience in the tourism and technology sectors, she is now one of the reference figures for travel innovation in Italy. After taking her first steps in Alitalia, she embarked on a long career at Sabre, holding roles with increasing responsibilities until leading the Delivery area for the EMEA region. Today she leads the Italian branch, where she coordinates commercial strategies, relationships with travel agencies, and the implementation of advanced technological solutions. During her tenure, Sabre has strengthened its presence in the Italian market through the renewal of strategic agreements with historical entities such as Gattinoni, ACI Blueteam, and Travelmatic. These partnerships, based on mutual trust and shared vision, are now supported by a technological infrastructure based on artificial intelligence, advanced automation, and increasingly fluid access to multi-source content. The result is a significant increase in operational efficiency and service quality, in line with the new needs of travelers and the challenges posed by the fragmentation of the sector. Paola is also a protagonist in the transition towards a new technological ecosystem for Italian agencies: an open, modular, and intelligent environment that goes beyond traditional GDS logic and embraces interoperability between sources, large-scale personalization, and the pervasive use of AI to optimize every phase of the booking and assistance process. In 2023, she was elected national councilor of the Organized Tourism Federation (FTO), bringing the voice of technology and the experience gained in the digital transformation of the sector to the association's dynamics. Her contribution stands out for its concreteness, systemic vision, and attention to the operational value of innovations.
