Paolo Naldini

Biography

Paolo Naldini, Director of Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto, holds a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Turin with a thesis - which bridged the gap between the School of Economics and the School of Architecture - on the regeneration of abandoned buildings and spaces. After work experiences in Italy and abroad, in 2000 he returned to Italy to join his in-laws, the Pistolettos, in the Cittadellarte family with his wife Armona. In the early 2000s, he founded a web platform dedicated to collaborative storytelling in and about places, and the interiorist photography project, a tool to express and capture the forms, ways, and degree of integration between the self and its context. He is the director of Cittadellarte where he founded the Art of Demopraxia project, a system for practicing "active presence" (cratos) within the organization one is part of - from any type of couple to any type of company, association, institution - and at the same time connecting organizations and individuals (demos) in territories and between territories: the demopractic system has been activated on over 30 occasions in cities such as Rome, Milan, Havana, Tirana, Bali, Geneva, Gorizia, Udine, Quito, and of course Biella.
