Patrizia Battilani is Professor of Economic History at the University of Bologna, where she directed the Centre for Advanced Studies in Tourism between 2018 and 2021. She has been a visiting scholar at the Universities of Sydney (2013) and Glasgow (2018 and 2019). She has published many books, including Tourism and economic development in the Southern Europe in the 20th century, Routledge, 2025 (with D. Strangio and C. Larrinaga), L'economia italiana dal 1945 ad oggi (with F. Fauri). She has participated in countless European projects, such as Column, Recolor, RurAllure, Fabroutes and Nextroutes, Memory Escape.
