Peppino De Rose

Prof. Peppino De Rose is an economist and expert in Cohesion Policies at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Unit for Cohesion Policies (NUPC), Department for Cohesion Policies and the South (DPCoe). A university lecturer, he has been engaged for many years in academic, scientific and institutional activities in the fields of tourism economics and management, European policies, territorial development and internationalisation. His work is characterised by an interdisciplinary approach, with particular attention to territorial competitiveness, sustainability, innovation and the enhancement of cultural, environmental and identity-based resources. He has gained significant experience in the field of European Union policies and programmes, development programming and processes of economic, social and territorial cohesion, deepening the role of tourism as a strategic lever for growth, employment and the attractiveness of territories. He is the author of several monographs and numerous scientific publications, including international ones, dedicated to the themes of economics, tourism, local development, cohesion policies and European integration. His experience combines scientific research, academic activity and institutional expertise, with particular attention to development strategies for the South of Italy and the capacity of territories to seize the opportunities offered by European policies and international markets.
