Riccardo Mortandello is the mayor of Montegrotto Terme. Elected for the first time in 2016, he was re-confirmed in 2021. Professionally, he has gained extensive experience in the hotel and tourism sector. In 2016, a few months after his election as Mayor, he founded the tourist destination OGD Terme e Colli Euganei, of which he served as President until 2019, bringing together 16 municipal administrations and local stakeholders. Since 2020 he has been Vice President of the National Association of Thermal Municipalities and since 2023 he has been President of the EHTTA (European Historic Thermal Towns Association), a non-profit association established to protect and enhance the thermal, artistic and cultural heritage throughout Europe.
