Roberto Basili

He is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Enterprise Engineering of the University of Rome, Tor Vergata, where he coordinates the PhD program in Data Science. Since the 1990s, his research has contributed to methods and technologies in Machine and Deep Learning in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and applications in Semantic Content Processing, Robotics, Web Retrieval, and Sentiment Analysis. He has been President of EACL, the European branch of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL), and a member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AI*IA) since 2005. He is the author of more than 220 articles in international journals and conferences in the areas of AI, NLP, and Machine Learning.
