Tommaso Tanzilli

Tommaso Tanzilli, born in Rome on November 23, 1961, has been the President of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane since June 2024, after serving as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Governance, Nominations and Remuneration Committee in the previous term. Graduated in law with a thesis in labor law, he has been a professor of socio-economic and labor law subjects at leading universities and higher education institutions. Since the beginning of his career, he has been involved in trade associations and tourism. At Federalberghi Roma, he held the role of Deputy Director between 1996 and 2003, then assuming the role of Director until 2022. From 2005 to July 30, 2024, he was also CEO of the service company Promoroma Hotel Service. Until July 30, 2024, he was General Director of Federalberghi Lazio, a role he assumed after being its Deputy General Director from 2003 to 2006. He has participated, in various roles, in several organizations, companies, and entities, including the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture of Rome (board member between 2010 and 2015) and the Global Tourism Industry Expo company (of which he was president from 2013 to 2019). Since January 2019, President of the Bilateral Tourism Body of Lazio.
