Umberto Selmi

Born in Naples, I am an economist with consolidated experience in the field of data analysis and rural development. Over the course of my professional career, I have gained an in-depth knowledge of the Italian agricultural and agri-food sector and have developed my skills in the field of EU programming (CAP). In particular, I have deepened my understanding of the topics of agricultural diversification, youth participation, organic farming and quality agri-food products (GI). I have coordinated the drafting of numerous in-depth documents on the topics of agritourism, generational renewal and organic farming. In addition to my skills in the field of analysis, I have developed an in-depth knowledge in the field of communication activities, gained through the management of the numerous projects I have handled at ISMEA on behalf of MASAF in my capacity as Head of the Organic Farming and Multifunctionality Office.
